Claims

How to file a Claim

Initial Call - Start your claim by calling (877)-636-7519 before any repairs begin.
‍Claims Description – Take your vehicle to any certified repair shop and have them contact CAPS for authorization before any work is done.
Cost Allocation – Repairs only begin after authorization. CAPS pays the repair shop directly, you are only responsible for your deductible.
Keep your receipts - Save all maintenance, lodging, meal, and rental receipts as outlined in your contract for claim support.

Coverage Limits

Mileage & Vehicle Age

CAPS provides coverage for vehicles of up to 20 years of age and up to 275,000 miles on the odometer.

Limit of Liability

Coverage is generally limited to the lesser of (i) the vehicle's actual cash value immediately before the covered loss, or (ii) the maximum aggregate limit that goes alongside the coverage you selected.*

Pre-Exisiting Conditions

Similar to insurance, vehicle service contracts only cover future mechanical issues — not pre-existing conditions. Securing coverage before problems arise ensures you're protected when it matters most.
